How this website uses your information.
A plain-English summary of what we measure on this website, what we don’t, and how to reach us about it.

Who we are
This website belongs to Ahava Medical Centre, Manyatta, Kona Maji, Kisumu, Kenya. For anything in this notice, email info@ahavahospital.org.
What this website measures
We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used. It records things such as:
- which pages are visited and for how long
- the type of device and browser, and the approximate area (city or country) a visit comes from
- how a visitor found the website, for example a Google search or a link on Instagram
- when a contact button is tapped: WhatsApp, email, phone or Instagram
For contact buttons we only record that a button was tapped, which kind, and where on the page. We do not record your name, your phone number, your email address or anything you write in a message.
Why we do this
To see how many people use the website, which information is useful, and whether the website helps people reach us. We use the results to improve it.
What this website does not collect
The website has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. We do not ask for, and the website does not collect, your name, contact details or health information.
Messages you send us
When you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we use what you send only to reply and to arrange your visit. Those messages are also handled by WhatsApp and by your email provider under their own privacy policies.
Cookies and Google services
Google Analytics uses cookies (small files saved by your browser) to tell one visitor from another. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on.
The map on our home page and the fonts used on every page are loaded from Google. When they load, Google receives your device’s IP address, as it does for any website that uses these services.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya you may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how it is used. Email info@ahavahospital.org and we will respond. You may also contact the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at odpc.go.ke.
Changes to this notice
If we change how the website works, we will update this page and its “last updated” date.
